Features

Improved object zoom

Users can now more quickly zoom in and out of content using the improved “Zoom to selection” function. Press the “z” hotkey or use the :zoom-selection: icon on the control bar to zoom content to full-screen. Use “z” or the :zoom-restore: icon again to return to your previous zoom level.

Workspace explorer sort and filter

Sorting and filtering has been added to the workspace explorer - making it faster than ever to find what you’re looking for. Click the :filter: button in the workspace explorer to see the sort and filter options. The default sort order has also been updated to last modified date.

Convert notecards to task cards

Notecards can now be converted to task cards using the convert option on the toolbar.

Custom color picker

Users can now select custom colors using an eyedropper tool, allowing you to sample colors from anywhere on your screen—even outside of the workspace. This feature is currently supported in Chrome and Edge browsers.

Additional Improvements & Bug Fixes

Improved chat panel behavior

Several improvements have been made to the chat panel to make it easier to use:

  • Launch the chat panel using the “/” hotkey
  • The chat panel will remember its open or closed state and launch in that state when opening workspaces
  • The chat panel will also now remain open when pressing escape. Hold the escape key to close all open panels

Improved Workspace Explorer performance

Improved the performance of the Workspace Explorer in workspaces with large amounts of content.

Locking the viewport on the Bluescape for large display app

The viewport can now be locked in a workspace when using the Bluescape for large display app, preventing accidental panning and zooming for more focused activities.

Easier downloading

A download button has been added to the toolbar to easily download images from the workspace and hotkeys for downloading have also been added.

Workspace creation date

You can now view workspace creation date in the workspace settings panel by clicking the :more_options: (more options) button from Bluescape Home and selecting “Settings”. Additionally, workspace creation date will be displayed when sorting workspaces by creation date.

:bug: Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where changes to a task card were not saved when clicking outside of the task properties panel
  • Fixed an issue where export options were incorrectly available on the Bluescape for large display app
  • Fixed an issue where task card details would not be saved when selecting a Jira card
  • Fixed an issue where the Bluescape for Desktop Mac app could would install due to a file error
  • Updated various error messages to be more descriptive
  • Fixed an issue where users could not copy/paste content in and out of documents from the workspace
  • Fixed an issue where a canvas was not created when selecting “Start creating” from the Getting Started dialogue
  • Fixed an issue where certain uploaded document file types showed a blank thumbnail until they were edited
  • Fixed an issue where the checkbox bullet type was sometimes not checkable
  • Fixed an issue where m4v video files would fail to upload
  • Fixed an issue where users without edit mode could edit canvas carousels
  • Fixed an issue where the Send invite button was not available until the user clicked outside the invite dialogue
  • Fixed an issue where task or Jira cards would show “Authentication required” message after user had authenticated
  • Removed the capture functionality from the browser object in the web app
