In Bluescape, you have the ability to export a single object, multiple objects (including canvases), or your entire workspace to PDF format.
Export a single object
To export a single object or canvas:
- Select the object you would like to export to PDF.
- Select (More options)
- Select Export.
- Select PDF.
Export multiple objects
You can also export multiple objects to PDF:
- Add objects to your workspace.
- Use your mouse to select the objects you would like to export to PDF.
- Right-select or select (More options).
- Select Export.
- Select PDF. Your PDF download appears at the bottom of your display.
Several aspects are limited or not supported:
- Orphaned connectors are also excluded from PDF - If your PDF only has one connector, return to your workspace and select more objects for PDF inclusion.
- At this time, hyperlinked text does not become a hyperlink in the PDF.
- If a user selects a video or a document (for example, Microsoft Word), they only get the selected frame/page in the PDF output.
- Note: This is only true when selecting multiple objects to export. On a single document (for example, .docx, there is no export option present.
- Users can also export their entire workspace to a one-page PDF format file; however, large workspaces are difficult to read at a lower zoom level to accommodate a one-page output.
- When using the Dark theme for Bluescape and exporting to PDF, the white text appears on a white document background.
- Workspace reactions are not included in PDF exports.
