Reopen: Issue: Text boxes in hidden canvas available for edit/view workaround:

Hi Bluescape support team… reopening this “ticket” with a little more information as the previous one closed after 30 days.

We’ve noticed that when and owner or a facilitator hides a canvas, editors are still able to blindly click around until they find text objects, etc. and are able to edit them or even move them outside of their hidden parent canvas. Please see attachment mp4 for a little clarification.

In the attachment, you can see that I created a canvas, hid the canvas objects from view, while another user (an editor role) was able to select the textbox object, and move it out of the canvas to read it.

Preferably, once a canvas is “hidden”, it cannot be manipulated to allow others to see the content. Please let me know if you would like any more information.

Nate

Hi @Nate - thank you for the additional information and letting us know you’re still running into this! We tested the behaviour you’ve described on our end and we were able to also reproduce this.

We’ve brought the issue back to our development team who will be looking further into it. As soon as we have an update, we will let you know.

Thanks again for following up! The video was helpful to pass along.
