"Your request failed to send" Error Message Appears when Using the Ask to Edit Feature in a Workspace as an Anonymous User

In Bluescape, when you are an anonymous user in a meeting with view access and you use the Ask to Edit feature, a “Your request failed to send” message appears.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Join a meeting in a personal meeting room as an anonymous user with View access.
  2. Select the Ask to Edit feature in the workspace. The Ask to edit content dialog box appears.
  3. Select Send request.

Expected result

The anonymous user should be able to request edit access for the workspace for which they have view access.

Observed result

a “Your request failed to send” error message appears.
