The canvas carousel steps through a series of canvases for a configurable amount of time, allowing users to see the full spectrum of critical data in full-screen, while continuously reflecting changes in real-time. Users can create and edit multiple carousels within the workspace and activate carousels independently.
Creating a new canvas carousel

Select a canvas and click the
(carousel) button from the toolbar

The canvas carousel panel opens. This panel allows you to create a new carousel with the selected canvas or canvases and see what carousels, if any, they already belong to.

To create a new carousel, enter a name and click Create.

Once created, the new carousel will display in the canvas carousel panel. Hover over the new carousel name to play, edit, delete, or export the carousel. You can also remove the selected canvas from the carousel.
Starting and using the carousel
You can start a canvas carousel from the canvas carousel panel, located in the toolbar and the workspace settings menu, or from a canvas that is part of a carousel.
Starting a canvas carousel from the toolbar

From the workspace toolbar, select Canvas carousels from the
(Canvas) menu. You can also select Canvas carousel from the workspace settings menu.
Bluescape Pro Tip: You can also start a carousel by selecting a canvas that is part of a carousel, selecting the(carousel) button from the canvas control bar, hovering over the carousel name, and selecting the
(play) button.

Each carousel in in the list will have three buttons to the right of the title:
- The
(more) button will provide options to edit, rename, duplicate, delete, or export the carousel.
- The
(play) button will start the canvas carousel.
- The
(export) button will export the carousel into a document.

Select the play button to start the canvas carousel.

When the canvas carousel starts, the user will be navigated to the first canvas in the carousel list, and the canvas carousel toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen.
- The canvas carousel toolbar displays the progress of the canvas carousel, how much time remains before the carousel will move to the next canvas, and several buttons to engage with the carousel.
The user’s viewport will remain on each canvas for the configured amount of time before automatically navigating to the next canvas in the carousel.

Editing a canvas carousel
You can rename your carousel, reorder the canvases, and enable auto-advance by editing your carousel.
- To edit a carousel, you can select the
(edit) button when in carousel mode, or choose edit from the canvas carousel panel.
- Once in the edit menu, there are several changes you can make to your carousel:
- Rename your canvas carousel
- Reassign a color to your carousel icon
- Configure loop, which will auto-advance your carousel based on the desired interval
- Rearrange your canvases to adjust the order in which they appear in the carousel
- Your changes are automatically saved. You can close the panel or click back to carousels when you are finished making changes.
