If I want to pin (lock) all elements of the canvas (so that I can run a feedback session where people add notes, but not change the underlying diagram)… is there a way to ‘pin en mass’ all the elements (boxes, lines, connectors, text)?

Yes, there is a solution for that. You can group select and pin everything all at once, including the canvas and the objects contained within. Note: there are pin limitations on both strokes, and lines that are not attached to objects. However, as you see below, when attached as a connecting line between objects, the pin feature is respected.
The ability to pin lines has been requested in Product feedback.
The selection box seems to work if you have shapes, notes and lines. But if a text box is included, the right click > pin is not available.
Are you able to pin the text box individually? Not as part of the group selection?
