Terms of Service
If you wish to participate in the ongoing conversation in this community, we ask that you please adhere to the guidelines outlined below. You must, however, abide by our community Terms of Service and Privacy Policy - which describes your (and our) behavior and rights related to content, privacy, and laws.
Treat others with respect
Please treat this discussion forum with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge, and interests through ongoing conversation.
These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.
Engage with others - like, reply, share!
Engaging with other community members helps everyone learn and inspire! If you have an answer, a thought, or an idea that will improve the topic discussions, we encourage you to chime in.
Our community moderators will post helpful topics to get you started, but the whole idea of our community is for you to engage in conversations and make this space an interesting place to be. Use bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, and more to make the most of your experience and everyone else’s too.
Don’t know where to begin? Browse existing topics and learn what interests you most. Contribute when it is most meaningful in existing topics or start a new discussion.
Be agreeable, even when you disagree
It’s ok to not agree with all ideas presented in the community. Just remember to provide counter-arguments that improve the conversation, not attack individual members.
Avoid name-calling, ad hominem attacks, responding to a post’s time instead of content, and knee-jerk contradiction.
Flag content that doesn’t adhere to these guidelines
If you see something, say something! We are all responsible for the integrity of this forum. When you see an offensive post or a comment that doesn’t align with our guidelines, do not respond, instead, flag it. If enough flags accrue on the post, action will be taken either automatically or by moderator intervention.
To maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and/or a user account for any reason at any time. The moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.
Privacy is a right – help protect everyone’s, including ours!
Protecting you and your data is important to us, and just as we want to protect you, we also have to protect ourselves. Read our Terms of Service that describe behavior and rights related to community content, privacy, and laws.
Keep Content Tidy
Tips to keep community content organized:
- Post your topic in the right category
- Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics
- Don’t post no-content replies, instead use the Like button to give your feedback.
- Keep topic responses on track, do not divert the conversation.
- Don’t sign your posts – every post has your username attached
No Plagiarism - only share your own content
You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without permission. Please give credit to intellectual property (software, video, audio, images) where credit is due.
