# How to Use the Business Model Template

The **Business Model** template allows you to describe your company’s business model, illustrating alignment with activities and their potential trade-offs. There are nine building blocks of the template describing your value proposition, infrastructure, customers, and finances.

Fill in two copies of this template- one with your business model as it is today, and one with your vision of the business in some future time (for example, three years from now). Start with the **Value Proposition** box, then work on the remaining boxes on the left, right, and bottom.
