# Claiming a Workspace Created from a Large Touch Display

The Bluescape app for large touch displays allows starting a new workspace directly from the display. This is helpful for ad-hoc brainstorming sessions or meetings where you must write notes or draw explanations. One of Bluescape’s advantages is the ability to save those notes by claiming the workspace when you finish your session.

To claim your workspace:

1. When you are ready to end your session, select :return_to_lobby: (Return to lobby).

2. A window opens asking if you want to save or discard the workspace. Select **Save**.  
&nbsp;  
**Note:** This workflow only applies if you created a workspace by selecting ![New workspace option](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/bluescape/original/2X/7/7fba267d9a3fcfe19b91615bc698e2afe456eb6d.png) (New workspace) on the lobby screen.

3. You then have two options to claim the workspace.

> **Using the QR code with a mobile device**

> 1. Scan the QR code.  
> &nbsp;
> 2. Select how you would like to access Bluescape and login if you are not logged in yet.  
> &nbsp;
> 3. The **Claim workspace** window appears, and the code is automatically entered. Confirm the code matches what you see on the large touch display.  
> &nbsp;
> 4. Select the Team to which you would like the workspace saved.  
> &nbsp;
> 5. Select **Claim workspace**.  
> &nbsp;
> 6. The workspace on the large touch display automatically closes and returns you to the lobby screen. The **Workspace settings** window will appear on your mobile device, allowing you to rename the workspace and change the owner and team if needed. After updating the workspace settings, select **Save Changes**.

> 7. You will receive a notification that the workspace is updated.

> **Claiming a workspace from Bluescape Home**
>
> 1. Select **Claim workspace** at the top of Bluescape Home.

> 2. Type in the 4-word code in the **Claim workspace** window that opens.  
> &nbsp;
> 3. Select the Team to which you would like the workspace saved.  
> &nbsp;
> 4. Select **Claim workspace**.  
> &nbsp;
> 5. The workspace on the large touch display automatically closes and returns to the lobby screen. In Bluescape Home, the **Workspace settings** window appears, allowing you to rename the workspace and change the owner and team if needed. After updating the workspace settings, select **Save Changes**.
