Adding Custom Templates to a Workspace (Web)

Templates illustrate common workflows with structured workspace content that can be used and re-used dynamically. You can build your own template from a canvas. Templates are made up of the following assets:

  • Shapes
  • Notecards
  • Text boxes
  • Documents
  • Images
  • Attached assets
  • Smart Grids
  • Videos

Note: You can also take advantage of the ready-made templates provided by Bluescape. For more information, see Using Workspace Templates.

To create a new template:

  1. Open a workspace from My Bluescape.

  2. Add the assets for the template to the workspace and arrange them accordingly. You can add a maximum of 1000 Bluescape native assets (i.e., notecards, text boxes, shapes, strokes). You can add a maximum of 250 non-native assets (i.e., images, documents).

  3. Place the assets in a canvas. For more information, see Creating a Canvas (Web).

  4. Click :canvas: Canvas to open the toolbar.

  5. Click the :more_options: more options to open the context menu.

  6. Click Create Template.

  7. The Add Template pop-up window opens. You can keep the default name of the template (the canvas name) or enter a new one. You can also enter an optional description and select the color of the template canvas.

  8. You can share custom templates with individual members by clicking the Share Template toggler to the right to the blue “on” position. For more information, see Sharing Custom Templates.

  9. When you are finished, click Add.
